Every claim on this page is a promise somebody has to keep, so each one describes what the system does today.

Who can see your numbers

Only people you invite to your workspace. Separation between workspaces is enforced by the database itself, not just by the app, so there is no screen or link that can show you another operation's data. FreezeDry HQ staff can open your workspace to answer a support request, and every time that happens it is written to an audit log staff cannot edit or delete.

Community benchmarks

Completed batches contribute anonymised yield and run-time figures by default. A shared benchmark carries no information that identifies you or your workspace, and a product group is only ever shown once enough separate workspaces are in it. Your costs and your prices are never included, never shared and never sold.

An owner or admin can turn sharing off entirely in Settings, which also removes everything the workspace has already shared.

How we watch the app get in your way

We record how the app is used, including screen recordings of your sessions, so we can find where people get stuck. What you type is not recorded, and neither are your costs or your prices.

Payments

Paid plans are processed by Square. Card details go to Square directly and are never stored by FreezeDry HQ. We keep the subscription's status so the app knows which plan a workspace is on.

Email

Account email covers sign-up, password resets, invitations and a short series of onboarding messages. Every message carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops the onboarding series without affecting the mail your account needs, such as a password reset.

Backups and retention

Every night the whole workspace is copied to storage held by a different provider on separate infrastructure, encrypted before it leaves us, and those copies are kept for 90 days. The live database encrypts everything at rest with AES-256, and every connection to it runs over TLS.

Deleting a record hides it rather than erasing it. An owner or admin can restore it from Settings without contacting us, and nothing is purged on a timer, so a batch deleted months ago is still recoverable. The activity log records who deleted it and when.

Getting your data out, or deleted

Settings, then Data & Export, downloads a JSON file of your machines, prep sheets, batch runs and profile at any time. Pro plans also export costs and yields as CSV.

To delete an account, email freezedriedgrocerystore@gmail.com and we will delete the account, its workspace and its records. Deletion is permanent, so take an export first if you want a copy. Nightly backups age out within 90 days.
